My Story

I have always loved to bake and cook. That’s my story. Most of my favorite memories are centered around food or being in the kitchen. But, I have also loved animals; my first passion and my first career was in veterinary medicine.

Something changed in me at 30 and I decided to enroll in culinary school in Chicago. I graduated from CHIC, The Cooking and Hospitality institute of Chicago with an associates degree in Culinary Arts. I started my culinary employment with Marriott Hotels working first in one of the restaurants then the bakery and banquets department. It was there that I found my second passion, which is cooking for the parties, weddings and events. I truly enjoy making small food items that are simple, pretty and delicious and enjoyed amongst loved ones and laughter.

Kree, our 150 pound Rottweiler mascot at Kristy''s Kreeations
This is Kree of Kreeations, my first love. He was the sweetest Rottweiler, a 150 pound lap dog. I rescued him while attending SIU in Carbondale, IL. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge way too
soon, but he is always with me.
